Definition

EIAH is:

  • A new electronic mailing discussion list about environmental impact assessment and health issues, with particular focus on ths situation prevailing in the Americas. EIAH is sponsored by the Pan American Health Organization (PAHO/WHO) and managed by the Area of Sustainable Development and Environmental Health (PAHO/SDE)
  • A regional and international forum which aims at exchanging information, knowledge and experiences related to any aspect of EIAH. This forum is open to all interested participants, regardless of their academic and professional backgrounds or their country of origin and practice. The topics of discussion are broad and include, for example: environmental determinants of health; legislative, clinical and other medical issues in EIAH; training opportunities, conference annoucements, and the like.

There are three easy ways to subscribe to the EIAH list:

  1. By e-mail; send a message to the list managers.
  2. By e-mail; send a technical command to the automated list software.
  3. By world-wide-web; complete the suscription form

Like all electronic mailing lists, EIAH has a software -LISTSERV 1.8d ®- which carries out automatically common operations such as the subscription/unsubscritpion to the list, the search of the list archives, and provides additional help to all members or prospective members in order to ensure that everybody fully enjoys the advantages of the EIAH list. When you send a command to the list software, write to this address only (LISTSERV@PAHO.ORG), and remember to always leave the SUBJECT of the message blank and to remove your signature at the bottom of your message.

Basic Commands:

To suscribe to the list EIAH, send a message to LISTSERV@PAHO.ORG and write in the body of the message SUBSCRIBE EIAH with your first and last names.

To end your subscription to the list EIAH , send a message to LISTSERV@PAHO.ORG and write in the body of the message the words SIGNOFF EIAH with your first and last names.
