Programas de Asistencia Técnica Financiera/ Técnica para la Reducción de Residuos

La EPA Pollution Prevention Information Clearinghouse (Oficina de Información para la Prevención de la Contaminación - PPIC) fue fundada para promover la reducción de residuos a través de transferencia tecnológica, educación y difusión con el público. La PPIC reúne y difunde información técnica y de otro tipo sobre prevención de la contaminación a través de una línea telefónica dedicada y una red de intercambio de información electrónica. Existen bibliografías indexadas y resúmenes de informes, publicaciones y estudios de casos sobre prevención de la contaminación. La PPIC también cuenta con un calendario de las conferencias y seminarios pertinentes, información sobre las actividades en el extranjero y un directorio de intercambio de residuos. Se puede acceder electrónicamente a su Sistema de Intercambio de Información para la Prevención de la Contaminación (PIES) las 24 horas sin cargo alguno.
